This work was conducted while Yuki joined Nudge in the very early stages of its Japan go-to-market, creating and localizing Japanese content. Tokage Works applies the same Japan GTM and localization methodology in its client engagements.
The Challenge
Nudge aimed to establish a credible presence in Japan, but English content and global messaging were not aligned with Japanese users’ expectations.
Key challenges included:
Launching the Japan market with no existing local strategy or content
Translating content while preserving brand tone and clarity
Adapting messaging to resonate with Japanese users’ financial behavior and risk perception
Tokage Works’ Approach
Yuki contributed from the very start of Nudge’s Japan GTM, creating content and aligning early strategies:
Developed and localized product copy, user guides, and marketing materials for Japanese users
Adapted messaging to fit local cultural norms and user expectations
Collaborated closely with the Nudge team to define initial Japan market messaging and content strategy
Ensured content was clear, actionable, and engaging from the first Japan launch
All content and messaging reflected Japanese market needs rather than literal translation, establishing a foundation for subsequent growth.
