Success Story: Nuvoton Technology Japan
Dec 26, 2025
Overview
Company: Nuvoton Technology Japan (Japanese subsidiary of a Taiwanese semiconductor company)
Role: Corporate Planning Office – Japan Corporate Branding & Localization
Period: Oct 2020 – Sep 2022
Yuki joined Nuvoton Technology Japan from Day 1, immediately after the acquisition by the Taiwanese semiconductor parent company. Tokage Works applies the same Japan GTM methodology in its client engagements.
The Challenge
As a newly established Japanese subsidiary, Nuvoton needed to:
Establish a cohesive corporate brand and identity in Japan
Educate employees on corporate culture and values
Localize all internal and external materials, including the company website and corporate copy, from Chinese into Japanese
Ensure messaging and content aligned with Japanese business culture and audience expectations
Tokage Works’ Approach
From the very start of the Japan operation, Yuki supported:
Development of corporate branding strategy and messaging for the Japanese market
Creation of corporate culture education materials for employees to understand the new company’s values and norms
Chinese-to-Japanese localization of corporate website, internal documents, and marketing materials
Standardization of corporate copy, tone, and visual style for consistent communication
All content and localization were grounded in Japanese market context rather than literal translation, ensuring the company’s brand and culture resonated locally.
